Nashville is so much more than a city with a vibrant music scene – it’s also filled with beautiful parks, easy access to nature spots right outside the city, and it has some truly incredible elopement venues for an unforgettable celebration.

As a Tennessee elopement photographer, I’ve found Nashville to be the perfect place to plan an elopement that is fun, affirming, and filled with adventure!

Places to Elope in Nashville, TN

I’ve split this up into three different sections for you to peruse – Nashville elopement venues, waterfalls close to Nashville where you could have your elopement ceremony, and park venues in Nashville to give you a fun and mixed variety of options!

Elopement Venues in Nashville, TN

Here’s a round-up of some of my favorite wedding venues to elope at:

Ravenswood Mansion

Ravenswood Mansion is a stunning wedding venue only 20 minutes outside of Nashville – you’ll find it in Brentwood, Tennessee. This location has rolling hills, perfectly manicured grounds, and at the center of it all is an elegant mansion. It’s also an affirming and welcoming LGBTQ+ wedding venue!

The venue can be found inside the Marcella Vivrette Smith Park, and surrounding it are 400 acres of forested hills that you can enjoy exploring, and they are also a beautiful backdrop for your wedding photos.

For more info on Ravenswood Mansion (and a behind-the-lens look at a wedding I photographed at this venue, go here)!

Drakewood Farm

Drakewood Farm is a beautiful historic wedding venue that sits on 30 acres of farmland. Also, it’s only 20 minutes outside of Nashville! They offer full-service weddings, micro weddings, and elopements. Here you’ll find a stunning 1850s mansion, stone cottage, three barns, a climate-controlled reception space, and two ceremony spaces.

This is an amazing venue choice for queer couples, as everyone at Drakewood Farms is inclusive and affirming. Furthermore, to make this venue even more enticing, it’s all-inclusive! If you plan your wedding here, they will provide you with the bouquet, cake, ceremony setup, tables, chairs, event coordinators, and even more!

If you want to, you can also take a look at an elopement I photographed in the winter at this venue go here

Cheekwood Estates and Gardens

Cheekwood Estates and Gardens is a stunning property in Nashville that offers you picturesque views of the Tennessee hills, 55 acres of botanical gardens to immerse yourself in and explore, and is filled with historic beauty.

They also have a variety of options available, including an intimate garden elopement to a microwedding. Another noteworthy feature of this venue is that they also offer a special elopement package that’s available from mid-March – November.

The Chapel at Highpoint Farm

The Chapel at Highpoint Farm is a family and queer-owned wedding venue with a 1840s farm, and it’s about 20 minutes away from Nashville. It’s a non-denominational space and surrounded by beauty and nature. They also offer you the option to customize your elopement package, which you can learn more about here

East Nashville Greenhouse

East Nashville Greenhouse is centrally located in East Nashville, and it’s a one-of-a-kind wedding venue inside a greenhouse that is made from recycled doors and windows, and filled with 200+ plants and succulents. It’s a beautiful space perfect for a small and intimate elopement ceremony!

CJ’s Off the Square

CJ’s Off the Square is a charming outdoor venue located in downtown Franklin, TN. It is just 30 minutes away from Nashville. The venue has a gorgeous, renovated historic home and a beautiful garden. They also have a comprehensive elopement package, which you can learn more about here.

White Velvet Chapel

The White Velvet Chapel is a charming venue in downtown Nashville that is most known for its vintage, southern elegance, and signature white facade. The chapel is intimate and cozy, and is designed for smaller celebrations.

One thing I personally love about this venue is all the different options and price points they have available – they don’t just offer a one-size-fits-all wedding package. To learn more about their different wedding packages, go here

Waterfalls to Elope at in Nashville, TN

Here are my five absolute favorite waterfalls close to Nashville to plan your celebration at:

Twin Falls

You’ll find Twin Falls in Rock Island State Park – around 2 hours away from Nashville. It’s a stunning wide waterfall to have as the backdrop for your elopement and is also very easy to access after a short walk onto the rocks. The downstream trail is 1.7 miles.

Machine Falls

Machine Falls is a remote waterfall in Tullahoma, and it is around a 1.5 drive outside of Nashville. The waterfall here is breathtaking, but it does require an advanced 30-minute hike to arrive at the falls, and you’ll definitely want to bring along a pair of waterproof shoes! In total, the hike is a 3.1-mile trail. The cool thing about choosing this particular waterfall is that you’ll also get the chance to see Busby Falls and Adams Falls!

Burgess Falls

Burgess Falls is a gorgeous cascade waterfall located on the Falling Water River. It’s about a 1.5 drive from Nashville, and the hike to the falls is considered to be an easy hike that covers 1.2 miles.

Cummins Falls

Cummins Falls is another incredible waterfall – it happens to be the 8th tallest waterfall in Tennessee, and the multi-layered falls are huge! A hike to the falls is an adventurous one, as the hike goes through a rugged area and is not an improved trail.

The hike itself takes around 30-45 minutes, depending on your level of hiking experience, and down and back is a little over a mile each way. It’s also about 1 hour and 20 minutes from Nashville!

Ozone Falls

Ozone Falls is a beautiful waterfall you’ll find in Cumberland County in the Ozone Falls State Natural Area and Cumberland Trail State Park. It’s around 2 hours away from Nashville, and the trail to the falls is considered a moderate hike that covers 0.3 miles.

There also happens to be a cliff close to the waterfall that is really easy to access, and the area around it is fun to explore. Plus, the cliff is a great spot for photos!

Parks to Elope at in Nashville, TN

Parks are another amazing place to elope at, and Nashville has an abundance of parks you could choose from. Here’s a round-up of the Nashville Metro Parks that allow you to have a wedding ceremony:

  • Sunken Gardens and Rose Arbors in Centennial Park
  • Parthenon in Centennial Park
  • Stone Hall
  • The Allee in Percy Warner Park
  • The Steeplechase Grandstands in Percy Warner Park
  • Hodge House in Percy Warner Park
  • Two Rivers Mansion
